Methodology of English Language Teaching Course (MELT)

Overview

The Methodology of English Language Teaching course (MELT) is part of the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages course series.

The course aims to develop basic English language teaching skills including the confident use of English for classroom management. 

Learning outcomes

It provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to teach up to intermediate level.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum levels of S6, L6, R6, W6 on the Australian Defence Force English Language Profiling System (ADFELPS).
  • Completed the Reception Period.

Audience

  • International military.
  • English language teachers: to prepare for a teacher role in beginner, elementary or intermediate level English.
